Arts-Based Excursions

 

Each year since 2008, ADFAS Pokolbin has funded a local school group for an arts-based performance or exhibition, generally in Sydney, some 160 km away. Our funding includes coach transport and a picnic lunch which is always very much appreciated by the students and teachers. We had very positive feedback from the students when they returned to school.

Students attend the Electronic Arts Workshop at the Museum of Contemporary Art at Circular Quay, Sydney. These workshops are designed especially for young students to deliver art through technology and are a special arts-based experience for the students who are currently exploring new technology at school. In particular, the workshops enable the students to ‘Explore how electronics can change an artwork, how an artwork is experienced and create new meanings.'

They all thoroughly enjoy the experience of the MCA workshops which were stimulating and exciting.
